The LIFT Project in association with The Design Bureau Architects and Laing O’Rourke specified Crimeshield to advise on security for a Flagship NHS Clinic in Derby
 
Here the challenge had changed as different areas of the building would offer different security issues and would need a variety of solutions. Crimeshields manufacturing and installation capabilities were the key to being able to offer solutions to each areas individual needs.

A Birmingham architects office approached Crimeshield to help them design out crime for a new NHS clinic in Walsall , to be built in partnership with the Sandwell Lift Project and Laing O’Rourke Ltd.
 

Crimeshield on all windows
The brief was to secure the glass in the windows and doors whilst not detracting from the architectural design of the building and also for the security to have minimal visual impact on the surounding area.

A recent article in the Midlands newspaper “The Express and Star”, relates how Crimesield are protecting the Staffordshire Hoard.
 
One of the greatest treasure finds in history, the Staffordshire
Hoard, will be protected by security systems made in
the Black Country.
Metal security barriers have been installed by Brierley Hill
firm Crime Shield Midlands for the hoard’s return to
Staffordshire. Around 80 of the 1,500 artefacts are on show at
the Potteries Museum in Stoke.
The company took full control of the manufacture and

Potteries Museum, Home to The Staffordshire Hoard
Many people will have been exitedly waiting for the arrival of the Staffordshire Hoard to arrive at The Potteries Museum.
This breathtaking find of ancient golden artifacts is the jewel in the crown for this local museum.
However the museum itself had to do some preparation work before hosting the exhibition and part of that preparation was the firming up of their security in certain areas of the building.

A NHS Secure Unit needed advice on how to secure patients windows to deter escape or passage of contraband items in and out of the unit, but still allow the windows to open for ventilation.
 
The built in free flow of air through the “Crimeshield” product, with the flexibility in the installation arrangement, meant that it was the ideal choice for this particual problem.
 
The barrier was essentially brought away from the window using 200mm standoff angle. This angle was fixed securely using the “Crimeshield” dedicated security scews, thus protecting against attack from inside or out.

A Surestart Nursery and childrens centre were concerned about the security of their building after a recent break-in. Luckily no significant damage had occured or crucial equipment taken, but the disruption caused was enough to make them worried about future problems.
