Wates,  the largest family owned construction company in the UK  had recently been awarded the contract of building the new swimming pool at Harborne Birmingham.

A medical centre in Nottingham had been suffering vandalism damage for several months, the only way to stop the ongoing costs of glass replacement was to board all the windows up.

In the Autumn of 2010 just as the darker nights were drawing in, a popular dentist practice in Telford was experiencing constant vandal damage to a connecting walkway between their 2 buildings.
This was a recent spate of vandalism, but after replacing several windows over a few weeks then installing CCTV the problem wouldnt go away.
The buildings were next to a 24hour unmaned train station and a popular hide away for the local youths to gather during the dark evenings. With a constant supply of bricks and stones and the new glass, this then became an obvious area for them to target.

The LIFT Project in association with The Design Bureau Architects and Laing O’Rourke specified CSM to advise on security for a Flagship NHS Clinic in Derby
Here the challenge had changed as different areas of the building would offer different security issues and would need a variety of solutions. Crimeshields manufacturing and installation capabilities were the key to being able to offer solutions to each areas individual needs.
