Construction Site Office Security
Wates, the largest family owned construction company in the UK had recently been awarded the contract of building the new swimming pool at Harborne Birmingham.
After being on site for just a few weeks they were suffering break-ins to their site offices, this led to them employing a security company to watch the site during closed hours. The costs for this were going to be very expensive and would be on going throughout the whole of the build.
Wates approached Crimeshield Midlands after hearing from Birmingham City Council of our excellent quality and reliablity installing roller shutters.
We were given the task of securing all of the ground floor windows and doors with electric roller shutters, the shutters would have to be powder coated to match their company colours.
The shutters were wired so that the main office door and windows operated from a single key switch, all other shutters were then fitted with internal switches. The main door shutter was also supplied with a manual operation should there be a power failure.
After completion Wates Construction were then able to stop the overnight security resulting in a substantial financial saving.
Due to the quality of the security shutters and installation Wates are now concidering installing Crimeshield shutters at all of their future sites.
