Many people will have been exitedly waiting for the arrival of the Staffordshire Hoard to arrive at The Potteries Museum.

This breathtaking find of ancient golden artifacts is the jewel in the crown for this local museum.

However the museum itself had to do some preparation work before hosting the exhibition and part of that preparation was the firming up of their security in certain areas of the building.

“Crimeshield” were called in to look at using our window barriers to give increased window security on windows that were seen to be vunerable both  opportunist thiefs and also to more to serious criminals.

A total of 14 windows were identified as vunerable and by installing the “Crimeshield barrier” to the basement areas where some of the laboratories and offices were located, the threat of break in was vastly decreased especially when used as part of a layered security outlook using alarms and other security  measures.
