A small company in derby needed security for a rear fire exit that was coming under attack at weekends with the resultant loss of stock and the inconvenience of clearing up after the break-in.

A simple retractable gate was all that was needed on the inside of the door which created a second barrier should the burglars break through the fire door itself. This second barrier means that the alarm would be going off and the relevant people alerted of the incident, but meanwhile the would be burglar has still got a major security hurdle to overcome when time is now against him.

This layered approach should be considered on small or large projects, most break-ins are opportunistic and this approach invariably disuades them from going any further but also this layered security will detter the more proffesional criminal.
